WORLD TAIJI & QIGONG DAY (April 26, 2025)
Every year on the last Saturday of April at 10 am (local time), practitioners of Taiji and Qigong all over the world practice their forms to create a wave of mindful, relaxed energy that circumnavigates the earth promoting personal and global health, peace, and healing. Let's breathe and move together for a positive and peaceful future.
Taiji and Qigong practitioners from around the Olympia area meet at 9:30 am at Marathon Park on the west side of Capitol Lake on Deschutes Parkway. People can practice whatever styles they desire, and folks from schools and classes can practice together as a group if they want. At 10 am, we begin practice and continue for about an hour to soft Chinese music. Supporters are also welcome to come and watch. Afterwards, folks may want to share their practices and join in on the forms of others.
If you teach or are part of a school, feel free to bring a card table and materials to display about your classes. Volunteers to watch the tables and talk to passersby with questions are appreciated. See you by the lake at 9:30 am, and be ready to practice at 10 am!
