Seminars with Grandmaster Su Zifang & Master Zhao Yun
June 21 to 23, 2024 - Olympia, WA World renown Grandmaster Su Zifang (Singapore) returned to Olympia, WA with Master Zhao Yun (Los Angeles, CA) for her 13th weekend seminar with 10 hours of instruction. Over 100 folks attended to sold out classes. New this time were 4 hours of special classes by invitation. Grandmaster Su was last in Olympia in 2019. In these seminars, we work hard while appreciating their knowledge and skill, willingness to work effectively with people of all levels and ability, and their warmth, humor and humility. Learn and experience the principles, energy, and movement of traditional qigong and Taijiquan from a grandmaster from China and her successor.
2024 SEMINAR SCHEDULE: Fri., June 21 - 7 to 9 pm - Health and Longevity (lecture) Master Zhao will speak on health, illness/injury recovery, and longevity from the point of view of martial arts principles, and Chinese philosophy and culture, with Q&A. $40 ($50 after June 7) Sat., June 22 - 1 to 5 pm - Ba Duan Jin (Eight Brocades/Treasures) Ba Duan Jin, a revered qigong form, will be taught with traditional warm-ups to build a strong foundation in health and movement principles. $100 ($120 after June 7) Sun., June 23 - 1 to 5 pm - Principles of Taijiquan Power Generation Practice the principles of power generation and control which bridge the gap between Taijiquan form and application. $100 ($120 after June 7) SPECIAL WEEKEND DISCOUNT: $220 for all classes ($265 after June 7) Potluck - Relax and enjoy the company of Grandmaster Su, Master Zhao, and fellow participants on Sunday after training. ABOUT GRANDMASTER SU ZIFANG
Grandmaster Su trained full-time since a child with China's great martial artists in Taijiquan, Baguazhang, and Xingyiquan. She was named one of China's 100 Outstanding Wushu Practitioners by the Chinese National Wushu Association, a national and international champion in the 1970s to 1990s, and a coach of champions in China and abroad. She established Yi Shui Training Centre, whose mission is to promote the fitness benefits and cultural implications of martial arts. She has a reputation for being an inspiring teacher for students of all ages and abilities. She teaches with a passion for the martial arts and shares her skill and knowledge with kindness and humility to anyone with a desire to learn.
ABOUT MASTER ZHAO YUNMaster Zhao Yun is carrying on the legacy of Grandmaster Su Zifang as her successor. Being her son, he studied since a child from her and the great martial artists she learned from. He also studied with other Chinese grandmasters in other styles, bringing comprehensive knowledge, skill, and approach to Yi Shui Training Centre as its co-founder with Grandmaster Su and now head instructor. His deep understanding of martial arts principles and ability to teach complex concepts in an engaging and accessible manner make him a popular instructor who helps students achieve greater physical, mental, and emotional balance.

Every third Saturday, practice her warm-ups/fitness exercises with a staff and Ba Duan Jin (8 Brocades/Treasures) and/or 5 Animal Frolics qigong from 10 to 11:30 am. Everyone who has been in a CH&MA class is welcome! It is a Scholarship Fund benefit, minimum fee - $15. Contact me before attending for the first time in case there are schedule changes.
